Truskavets is the greatest balneological area in Western Ukraine. Resort status it gained in 1827 thanks to its springs of mineral waters  and distribution of the newest technologies in resort area, introduction of effective methods of treatment and rehabilitation.
The city is located in a picturesque valley at the foothills of the Carpathians mountains at the height of 350m above sea level, surrounded by mixed and coniferous forests.

The complex of  resort establishments are right based on the variety of nature medicinal resources. Truskavets  offers different kinds of realaxation and entertainments besides treatment. A lot of  cultural events are held everyday. There are 4 churches, 1 kostel, 2 regional ethnography museums, excurtional agencies, 5 entertaining centres, 2 night clubs, SPA-centres, nearly 50 caffees, bars and restaurants, more than 60 supermarkets, 3 trade-centres, market.

Truskavets is situated 100km far from administrative centre Lvov.   
Today Truskavets has become the resort of international significance where more than 400 thousand people improve their health annually.
